CORUM NEW MACHINE WARRANTY

Two Stages of Cover. One Clear Standard.

Eligible new CORUM machines receive the same two-stage limited Warranty: new-machine coverage for 24 months or 2,000 operating hours, followed by limited major-component coverage to a total of 48 months or 4,000 operating hours, whichever occurs first.

Both stages begin on the original delivery date. Full terms, exclusions, servicing requirements and eligibility apply.

An eligible new CORUM machine is a new machine supplied by CORUM Equipment Pty Ltd and identified as covered in the signed Warranty Schedule issued at sale.

This webpage provides a summary only. The signed Warranty Schedule issued for the machine contains the full commercial Warranty terms, coverage, exclusions and customer responsibilities.

TWO-STAGE STRUCTURE

One delivery date. Two clear stages.

STAGE 1

24 Months / 2,000 Hours

New Machine Limited Warranty

For an accepted claim, CORUM will cover the approved repair or replacement of a covered component and reasonable approved diagnostic and repair labour, subject to the Warranty Schedule.

STAGE 2

To a Total of 48 Months / 4,000 Hours

Limited Major Components Coverage

After Stage 1 ends, eligible major components remain covered until the total Warranty reaches 48 months or 4,000 operating hours from the original delivery date, whichever occurs first.

The second stage continues protection for defined major components. It does not restart the Warranty period and is not an additional four years.

STAGE 1

What Stage 1 is designed to cover.

Subject to diagnosis, acceptance, exclusions and the signed Warranty Schedule, Stage 1 may cover defects in original factory-installed components including:

  • Engine and internal engine components
  • Main hydraulic pump and control valve
  • Travel and swing drive systems
  • Hydraulic cylinders, excluding normal seal wear
  • Cooling system components
  • Electrical controls, sensors and wiring
  • Operator controls and factory-installed systems
  • Main frame, boom and arm where a manufacturing defect is confirmed

Coverage is not automatic for every failure in these systems. Acceptance depends on diagnosis, exclusions and the signed Warranty Schedule.

Hydraulic Hoses and Service Items

Factory-fitted hydraulic hose assemblies are included in Stage 1 where a reasonable assessment shows that premature failure resulted from a defect in materials, manufacture, crimping, or the machine’s original routing or installation.

Normal deterioration and damage caused by external abrasion not attributable to the original routing, cuts, crushing, kinking, excessive heat, incompatible or contaminated fluids, pressure abuse, misuse, modification, or incorrect repair are not covered under CORUM’s voluntary Warranty.

An item will not be excluded solely because it is commonly described as a wear or service item where a reasonable assessment shows that its premature failure resulted from a defect in materials, manufacture, assembly or original installation.

STAGE 2

Defined major-component protection.

  • Engine block, cylinder head, crankshaft, camshaft, pistons and internal lubricated components
  • Main hydraulic pump
  • Main hydraulic control valve
  • Swing motor and swing reduction mechanism
  • Travel motors and final-drive internal components
  • Centre swivel joint
  • Slewing bearing
  • Main frame, boom and arm where failure results from a confirmed manufacturing defect

Stage 2 does not include general electrical items, peripheral fuel-system components, wear components, routine servicing or attachments unless expressly stated in the signed Warranty Schedule.

Hydraulic hoses, ordinary couplings, external seals and O-rings are not separately covered under Stage 2, except where their replacement is reasonably necessary as part of an accepted repair to a covered major component.

PARTS & LABOUR

Approved parts and labour for accepted claims.

For an accepted claim, CORUM will cover the approved repair or replacement of a covered component and reasonable approved diagnostic and repair labour, subject to the Warranty Schedule.

Transport, machine collection, freight, technician travel, site attendance and emergency call-out costs are not automatically included unless CORUM approves them in writing before the cost is incurred.

For an accepted hose claim, CORUM will cover the approved replacement hose assembly, reasonable approved diagnostic and repair labour, and any reasonable quantity of approved hydraulic fluid directly required by that repair, subject to the Warranty Schedule.

Transport, travel, site attendance, clean-up and consequential loss are not automatically included and require prior written approval, except where rights or remedies apply that cannot be excluded by law.

EXCLUSIONS

What the commercial Warranty does not cover.

  • Normal wear and deterioration
  • Tracks, rollers, idlers, sprockets, pins and bushes
  • Bucket teeth, cutting edges and ground-engaging tools
  • Filters, oils, fluids, grease and routine service items
  • Hoses, seals, O-rings and ordinary leakage caused by wear
  • Batteries and other consumable electrical items
  • Attachments unless separately covered
  • Accident, impact, fire, flood, theft or vandalism
  • Misuse, overloading or operation outside published limits
  • Contaminated fuel, incorrect fluids or inadequate lubrication
  • Unapproved modifications
  • Damage caused or materially contributed to by inadequate servicing
  • Cosmetic deterioration
  • Loss of income, project delay or other consequential commercial loss, except where rights cannot lawfully be excluded

OWNER RESPONSIBILITIES

Keep the machine serviced and the records clear.

The machine must be inspected, operated and serviced at the required time and operating-hour intervals. The owner must keep invoices, service records, operating hours and details of fluids, filters and parts used.

Service may be completed by CORUM or a suitably qualified heavy-equipment service provider using genuine CORUM parts or parts, filters, lubricants and fluids meeting CORUM’s written specifications.

A claim may be declined to the extent that inadequate servicing, an unsuitable part or fluid, misuse or an unauthorised modification caused or materially contributed to the failure.

Service records may be requested when assessing a claim. Refer to the machine manual and signed Warranty Schedule for model-specific service intervals.

CLAIMS

A straightforward claim process.

01

Stop and Protect

Stop operating the machine where continued use may cause additional damage or create a safety risk.

02

Contact CORUM

Notify CORUM as soon as reasonably practicable and provide the model, serial number, operating hours and a description of the issue.

03

Provide Evidence

Supply photographs, videos, proof of purchase and relevant service records.

04

Diagnosis and Decision

Allow CORUM or an approved repairer to inspect and diagnose the machine. CORUM will confirm whether the claim is accepted and what work is approved.

05

Approved Repair

Do not authorise non-emergency repairs before receiving written approval where it is reasonably possible to contact CORUM.

Emergency work reasonably required to protect safety or prevent further damage must be documented, but reimbursement is not guaranteed unless the claim and costs are accepted.

COURTESY SUPPORT

Courtesy machine support.

If an accepted warranty repair is reasonably expected to take more than five business days, a comparable courtesy machine may be available, subject to location, machine availability, eligibility and prior written approval.

Courtesy support is not guaranteed and does not create an entitlement to compensation, hire-cost reimbursement or replacement equipment.

OTHER CATEGORIES

Used equipment and attachments remain separate.

Used equipment coverage is separate.

Selected used equipment may include limited commercial Warranty support for 6 months or 500 operating hours, whichever occurs first, on defined powertrain and major-hydraulic components. Eligibility and coverage depend on the individual machine, condition, hours and written sale terms.

Attachments and replacement parts.

Eligible attachments may include limited commercial Warranty support for up to 12 months. Eligible approved replacement parts may include limited commercial Warranty support for up to 6 months.

Wear parts are not covered. Coverage depends on the product, application and applicable written terms.
